Conditions
Typed facts extracted from the source documents by Scindu's grant-data review. Each value keeps its own conditions. Unknown means unstated, not zero or unlimited.
- Applicant restriction
- Mono-beneficiary application by a single SME legal entity registered before the deadline in an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe. SMEs funded under the 2026 edition are ineligible for the 2027 edition; an applicant may submit several proposals but only one can receive funding.
- Applicant restriction
- SMEs selected and funded under the 2026 EIT Urban Mobility SME Market Expansion Call are ineligible for this 2027 call.
- Application restriction
- Applications open 9 October 2026 and close 1 December 2026 at 17:00 CET through the EIT Urban Mobility Programmes Portal (NetSuite).
- Eligible geography
- Applicant SME must be established in an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe; minimum three FTE must be located in EU Member States and/or Horizon Europe associated countries.
- Eligible project scope
- Support is for a significantly improved product or service with market validation, expanding to a new customer segment, sector or geographical market, tested with a committed public or private end client. Five topic areas on the current page: Public and Shared Transport; Urban Logistics; Electrification of transport and alternative fuels; Mobility data management; Health and mobility.
- Other condition
- Separate from the grant, selected applicants must sign a Commercial Agreement for a one-off fixed EUR 5,000 revenue share payable upon a verified commercial sale; it is not a co-funding contribution or employee compensation.
- Other condition
- Lump sum is paid in two instalments: up to 50% after FSA and Financial Sustainability Contribution Agreement signatures; the balance up to 50% after project close, based on performance and approved mandatory deliverables/KPIs, with reductions for incomplete/rejected results.
- Partner requirement
- Each proposal needs a committed end client (public or private organization) with signed commitment letter; SME and end client must be separate independent legal entities.
- Project duration, maximum
- 7
Maximum implementation period runs from April through October 2027; the manual labels 1 April and 31 October as tentative project dates.
Amounts and costs
- Indicative budget
- €600,000
Topic budget as stated in the portal's budget table. Lump-sum and per-project limits are in the call conditions.
- Call allocation
- €600,000
Indicative total budget for the initial 10 selected projects. EIT Urban Mobility reserves the right to increase the allocation and fund additional projects; not a per-project ceiling.
- Eligible cost
- For the lump-sum proposal, the detailed cost estimate is an approximation of actual costs and may include only cost types that would be eligible under an actual-cost grant; budgets must be task-detailed, reasonable, and necessary. The linked EIT expenditure guide identifies personnel, subcontracting, purchase and indirect-cost categories.
- Funding intensity
- 100
Guidance instructs the applicant to enter EUR 60,000 as a lump sum with 100% EIT funding and says the call requires no additional co-funding. This is the grant-budget contribution setup, not a claim that every actual project cost is reimbursed.
- Unit contribution
- €60,000
The manual describes EUR 60,000 as a fixed lump sum per project for the intended initial 10 projects; not an employee salary ceiling. The call may add projects if the overall allocation is increased.
Personnel and services
Other role
Required staff
No job titles, staff qualifications, separate project headcount, salary or rate are prescribed by this threshold. Part-time staff may count toward FTE; the manual example allows two full-time plus two part-time employees.
Other role
Service the grant can fund
A purchasable external service, not an employment position. The call does not specify occupations, contractor headcount/FTE or a per-service rate.
Other role
Staff cost the grant can fund
Cost estimates should state expected effort in person-months. No occupational title, qualification, project headcount/FTE, employment-contract type or numeric salary/pay rate is set by the reviewed call-specific documents.
