Description
Article 1
Purpose, amount and duration of the DIGISOC Scholarship
The Palacký University is issuing a Call for Application within the DIGISOC Scholarship Programme, reserved for students enrolled for the Academic Year 2026/2027 in the second year of the Joint Master’s Programme in Digital Society, Social Innovation and Global Citizenship (DIGISOC).
The Call for Application has a total budget of EUR 11.000,00.
The DIGISOC Scolarship Programme is designed to provide financial support to students participating in the DIGISOC Joint Master’s Programme (JMP) and aims to:
· Reward students with outstanding academic performance;
· Promote excellence in higher education;
· Alleviate costs associated with tuition fees, summer schools, short-term mobilities, and living expenses.
The scholarships also function as a form of social support, helping students overcome personal or socio-economic obstacles that hinder participation in international education.
The DIGISOC scholarship is limited to one academic year. The scholarships are paid out in one instalment.
There is no automatic entitlement to scholarships and there is no automatic renewal.
The amount of the scholarship can reach a maximum of EUR 2.000,00 each (gross percipient) per academic year and applicant.
The exact amount of the Scholarship assigned to each applicant is based on the grade average based on criteria set in Article 5 – Award Criteria.
Article 6 Acceptance and Appeals
Applicants are notified of decisions within 15 days after the end of the submission period via e-mail. Rejected applications include a short justification.
Applicants who are not admitted to the scholarship have the right to appeal.
Appeals may be submitted by e-mail to programme coordinator and will be reviewed by the joint Evaluation Committee.
Within the mandatory deadline of 5 days from the date of receipt of the notice of the award of the scholarship, the applicant must send by e-mail to programme coordinator the declaration of acceptance (see Article 10) without reservation and under the conditions of the notice of competition, under penalty of forfeiture.
With said declaration, the scholarship assignee must also give explicit assurance to communicate any variation, which may occur during the year with respect to what has been declared.
Article 7
What to do to receive the scholarship
In order to administer the awarding of the scholarship, the scholarships assignee must provide Palacký University, Faculty of Law with the following documentation:
· Enrollment certificate (complete with enrollment number);
· Tax code;
· Bank details (IBAN number, swift code, etc.);
· Copy of passport.
Article 8
Financial and Disbursement Procedures
Scholarships are paid in one instalment per academic year.
Disbursement is handled by the DIGISOC Degree Awarding University which is issuing this Call for Application. Payment of the scholarships will be made by bank transfer to a current account with IBAN in the name of the recipient student.
Article 9 Renunciation
In the event of withdrawal from the scholarship, following acceptance, scholarship winners must give written notice by e-mail to programme coordinator, to allow for any further sliding of the ranking list.
In case of transfer to another degree course during the 2026/2027 academic year, the scholarship holder will be considered a renouncee and must return the full amount of the scholarship.
The renouncing scholarship holder will always be required to return any amounts received, except for special cases duly motivated, which will be assessed by the joint Evaluation Committee.

Conditions
Typed facts extracted from the source documents by Scindu's grant-data review. Each value keeps its own conditions. Unknown means unstated, not zero or unlimited.
- Applicant restriction
- Applicants must hold EU citizenship or citizenship of a DEP-associated country, be enrolled in the second year of DIGISOC in academic year 2026/2027, and have earned at least 60 DIGISOC course credits while completing every course in which they were enrolled.
- Application restriction
- Applicants submit through the DIGISOC OpenOlat platform in one folder: signed Application Letter, issuing university matriculation number, and evidence for all eligibility criteria. Application must be in English; supporting documents are accepted in English, Italian, German or Czech, while other languages require certified translations. Committee may request more information or reject insufficient applications.
- Application restriction
- Current linked UPOL call PDF specifies 15 December 2026 at 23:59 CET. This conflicts with exact SEDIA child record and normalized local row, which report 14 December 2026; operative deadline remains unverified.
- Application restriction
- The normalized SEDIA export and local catalogue mark the exact child record open; its retained API response contains status code 31094502 and opening date 12 October 2026. The current programme page has a generic “Applications are closed at the moment” banner of unclear scope but also lists the UPOL merit scholarship with a future 15 December deadline. Status is a SEDIA report, not an independently tested OpenOlat availability claim.
- Application restriction
- Exact SEDIA competitive-call metadata reports deadlineDate 2026-12-14T23:59:00.000+0000 and normalized local row deadline_at 2026-12-14. This conflicts with the current linked UPOL call PDF and programme page (15 December 2026 at 23:59 CET); no correction/extension notice appears on the inspected page/PDF, so deadline is not adjudicated.
- Other condition
- Programme page says municipal waste tax applies only to students living in Palacký University accommodation in Olomouc for more than three months; it does not state the tax amount.
- Other condition
- Ranking uses the weighted average of grades from all DIGISOC courses in academic year 2025/2026, rounded to hundredths on a 30-point scale. Applications rank in descending order; tied applicants share a place and receive the higher award.
- Other condition
- Call is launched solely by Palacký University and expressly is not an EU action. Palacký University provides scholarship in its own name and responsibility; EU portal publication is informational, not EU approval of the call or selection.
- Other condition
- Joint Evaluation Committee is appointed by Dean of Palacký University Faculty of Law and includes one representative from each of three DIGISOC degree-awarding universities plus at least one DIGISOC student representative. It is appointed after the deadline and completes evaluation no later than 15 days after that deadline.
- Other condition
- Scholarship is paid in one instalment per academic year by bank transfer to an account with IBAN in the recipient student’s name. It is a student scholarship payment, not a salary or staff compensation rate.
- Other condition
- Award is limited to one academic year, paid in one instalment, and not automatically renewed or guaranteed. Stated purpose includes alleviating tuition fees, summer schools, short-term mobilities and living expenses; these are purposes, not an expense-reimbursement-only list.
- Other condition
- A winner transferring to another degree course during academic year 2026/2027 is treated as having renounced the scholarship and must return the full amount. A renouncing holder must return amounts received except duly justified special cases assessed by the committee.
- Other condition
- Applicants receive decision notices within 15 days after submission period ends; rejected applications receive short justification and applicants may appeal by email to the programme coordinator. A winner must send an unconditional acceptance declaration within five days of award notice or forfeit the award.
