NCN's national-competitions page describes the SONATINA competition line as research projects by persons with a doctoral degree obtained within three years before the application year. This is the general category description on the page, not a verified complete eligibility rule for SONATINA 11.

The current schedule gives no reference-date calculation, exclusions or extensions. Confirm the SONATINA 11-specific cutoff and exceptions from its final call materials.

Resolution 73/2026 states that its common project-funding rules cover, among other named competitions, SONATINA.

These are the current common regulations reviewed here; future SONATINA 11 call documents may supply additional or call-specific conditions that have not yet been reviewed.

The common evaluation criteria include a planned international fellowship as a 10% criterion in the SONATINA proposal evaluation. This is an evaluation criterion, not evidence that every project must include a fellowship or that a particular travel allowance is funded.

No separate fellowship duration, destination, travel amount or cost entitlement is asserted; consult the SONATINA 11 application documents when published.

The planned 2026 schedule lists SONATINA 11 for opening on 15 December 2026, submission until 15 March 2027, and decision by September 2027.

Koszt kwalifikowalny

For additional remuneration, the common NCN regulation allows employment contracts at full or part time and civil-law contracts for research-team members; student and doctoral-candidate remuneration is excluded from this pool except in PRELUDIUM and SONATINA.

A team member employed under an employment contract by the implementing entity may receive additional remuneration only in a form other than a civil-law contract. This describes eligible forms, not a requirement to hire.

The common NCN regulation's remuneration-and-scholarship category covers remuneration, non-wage employment costs and scholarships only for research-team members, defined there as the project leader and other project performers.

This is a cost-category boundary, not a call-specific staffing roster or hiring entitlement.
