Branches/offices without separate legal personality and natural persons carrying on self-employed activity are not eligible applicants; the FAQ clarifies a single-employee company may qualify if it is an eligible legal entity and meets SME/call conditions.

Mono-beneficiary applicant must be a legally constituted SME in an eligible Innowwide country (EU Member State, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Türkiye or United Kingdom); must have been legally established at least two years by 1 Dec 2026 and not have been funded under a prior Innowwide call in 2022–2025.

Applicant SME must be in eligible programme countries and target a new market in Africa, Americas, Asia or Oceania. An independent legal entity in the eligible target country must participate as the main subcontractor; target-country entities benefit indirectly, not as grant beneficiaries. Countries where SMEs are eligible for Innowwide funding (including Israel and Türkiye) cannot be target countries.

The selected applicant receives 70% pre-financing (EUR42,000) at project start and the remaining 30% (EUR18,000) after the six-month project and acceptance of a complete final report; insufficient reporting can lead to reduction or withdrawal/recovery.

The current FAQ does not prescribe a personnel-cost calculation method or day rate; personnel estimates must approximate actual costs, align with normal practice, and be reasonable and necessary. Grant payment is linked to acceptance of work packages/deliverables; routine timesheets/pay-slips/invoices are not required for grant payment, but the beneficiary must keep regular bookkeeping.

  Personnel costs may be included in the applicant SME budget when directly linked to eligible activities. Current FAQ says estimates must approximate actual costs, align with normal practices and be reasonable and necessary, but specifies no pay scale, day rate, job title, headcount/FTE minimum or employment form. Grant payment is deliverable-linked lump sum. The target-country counterpart is an independent subcontractor, not a grant beneficiary or an employee role.
